Wow, 2010 already. It doesn't feel like a new decade. While it's so recent, we just remember everything blending together, but I sometimes wonder how people will remember millennium decade another 10 years from now.

I remember the millennium. My dad bought a cereal, called Millennium-O's, and I think we're supposed to open them soon. It was after you eat the cereal, you make a time capsule. Shoot, I just remembered it. I was in Singapore New Year's Eve. I was so sick with something, and my cousins and brother were eating frozen chocolate-dipped bananas outside. My parents came home, I ran out to see them and I hurled on the marble driveway, and Eleanor, the housekeeper hosed it off.

I also just returned from Puerto Rico, as you can see from my photos. It was so amazing, and I think it is going to be my honeymoon destination when or IF I get married. It has such a strong culture, and it's easy to get to from the US. The area itself is charming as well.

And then, off to school tomorrow. I am denying and neglecting any homework I have, but thank God it's not too much.

People are already talking about Christmas, and it's not even Thanksgiving yet.

I wonder how this year will be, with America's economy. A lot of people are out of work or have reduced salaries.

I hope that one thing we can all get out of this is to get the habit of not splurging. Now people are realizing it's not worth spending more money to make something look better.

I got awful news today.

A boy who I went to school with, a grade younger, has killed himself.

I didn't know him well, but any death is tragic, especially a suicide.

Please take a moment to pray for him, or keep him in your thoughts.

I feel as if I haven't updated in awhile.

I miss the warm summer sun, the liberation, the euphoria that filled my carefree days.

I haven't even seen the sun in days, and the sky is sulking the loss of it.

I'm in a slump, not a bad one, but I'm sick of the monotony inside of me.

I'm finally feeling better.

My fever is down, my cough is gone, my nose is clear, and I'm awake.

Being sick wasn't too bad, because I got to stay in bed and be served. I got the luxury of eating a Jimmy John's sub, drinking hot cocoa, a friend left me some flowers, and my dad bought me the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey. Which I must admit, that movie is a work of art. Stephen Hubricks is a genius, and he worked well with Arthur C. Clarke's novel.

I am also surrounded by a pool of junk food. Pringles, Potato chips, M&M's, Swedish Fish, and Garotade all around me.

Then, tomorrow I have school and it's Homecoming week, so I get to dress up and have fun.

I'm super excited for Homecoming. I got my dress and shoes, and I'm going with two girls, neither who have gone to a homecoming dance before. It will be such a fun weekend, going to the football game, going to the dance, hanging out... I think it is so much fun to do this with friends.

I'm happy with the way things are now.
